Hi guys

It's been a while, sorry.
But soooooooooooooooooooooooo if any of you are still around reading this, I just have a question that I am curious about.
School started again for me this week, and with the beginning of classes we were introduced to a school wide, mandatory (I think...) project that is not for a grade, but it being discussed in all classes and it creating quite a stir. Each student is required to make some sort of message to the future president on a piece of paper, and we will hang each throughout the school, and eventually mail them to the President. Last year we had a project that every student in any design/illustration/comic class had to participate in. I think they are a really interesting idea and a nice change of pace, but they always seem to get a lot of mixed reactions.

Do you guys ever have school wide projects like that? Do people at your schools have strong reactions either way?

Ok, sorry abut my strange question but it's just making me wonder.

allrighty, BYE!

We had a project last year in which every student from our school could participate and you could even work together like cross-disciplines...(you can also study to be a director or photographer or interior architect and stuff at my school)...first of all the teachers couldn't agree...so a lot of people didn't want to do it anymore...with only a few left from every 'study option' we didn't really mix groups again because some teachers are very oldfashioned and think we can't manage working together with other people from different disciplines...YEAH RIGHT! I formed a group with a classmate...we had a younger student joining us and 1 other girl from a different class + we choose a teacher from the film department to guid us instead of one of our own teachers...the other teachers weren't even aware of what was going on...
...but also on a class level we had some difficulty in the past working together...but now we are more familiar with it and it goes better...which is ok but we won't be collabarating a lot anymore since we all finish school in less then a month...still most of the time it was the teachers' mistakes and involvement that made everyrthing way too complicated...

I guess everybody will start school soon again anyway so: Have a great year...and to the americans i hope you can send those letters to a good president!

Interesting that it was a collaborative project, that seems like it'd be difficult to arrange and organize and keep track of. But COOL, too!

Anyway, this Dear President thing reached the media through the UnConvention and a French news crew came to our school on wednesday to interview people about it! I had a meeting so I didn't get to see any of it, but I wish I could have.
