I hope the holidays are treating you well so far!
Anywayyyy, I need advice on a topic completely unrelated to design: TRAVEL.
So, you worldly travelers, you, I am planning on taking a trip out of the US this summer, and I have a few places in mind (Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and Berlin, perhaps Quebec City....). BUT, I want to know from people who have traveled where the best places to go are. Any suggestions? Any horrible places to avoid? Help me make a decision, here! ahahahahaha.

hmm barcelonaaaaa. i love barcelona it's a great city. definitely a great place to go to, lotssss of things to see. Berlin is nice as well, just make sure you figur out what you wanna see and where you wanna go. Otherwise you'll end up going in an endless amount of circles around the same area. I dont know what else you all had in mind there's a lot of great places out there.
And sorry for being such a lazy bum lately and not replying BUT NOW ITS HOLIDAYS weeee today had last day of school. woopie. anyways let me know what places you had in mind
I think it really depends on a person. Are you looking for more artscenes, party scenes, nice places to look at....historical stuff...??
Barcelona was nice, it's got a good nightlife, and it's friendly to foreigners. When I went there I just met a lot of people on the streets and at hostels!! It's not too loud during the day so you can just lay in the sun and relax....and it's got great stuff like Gaudi to see!
Berlin is also kind of the same...although the vibe is a little more hmm...laid back. Berlin has a lot to see during the day (galleries, shopping, sightseeing stuff) and also it's got an amazing nightlife that you can't really experience in the US. It's great....

Copenhagen
Milan
Tallinn
I heard great things about Finnland, Iceland and Portugal....those are my next destinations
Berlin is super I think...Barcelona is like Yutsak described it...and I'll let you know how Lisbon is after going there in Mai for OFFF2008 conference:)
If you know more places in Europe you would like to visit(London, Paris, Amsterdam, ...)...just give a shout...passing through Belgium, allways welcome

I realized Buenos Aires would be in the middle of winter when I'd be going, so now it's down to Barcelona and Berlin (leaning towards Barcelona).
And yesss please do let us know about Lisbon! That was one of my other options but I figured I could go there later on someday.

I agree, berlin is a good decision! If you want to go more east you could go to Prague. How much time do you have? ...what about London?
